Natalie Sprite was shortlisted for the Australian Vogel Literary Award for her novel Grace Notes. She is the winner of several literary fellowships and awards, including a 2016 AsiaLink fellowship, the NT Literary Awards and Australia Council grants as both a songwriter and a novelist. Her work has appeared on the ABC as well as in Meanjin and Australian Award Winning Writing.
Natalie is also a passionate teacher and mentor. She recently edited and produced Water Stories, a collection of work by writers she’s been mentoring for the last two years.
Natalie lives on a small island off the coast of Queensland where she has just finished building her own home. Her novel, The Luminous Heart, was a finalist for the 2021 Glendower Manuscript Award in the Queensland Literary Awards.
She’s currently working on a new book about music sex, women and power, the first chapter of which has been shortlisted for the international Chapter One Prize.
